Subwoofers in back of X-Tra cab
I would like to know if anyone has tried to put subs in the rear compartments of a 89-95 toyota xtra cab. If so how did you support them so the seats could still be used. Please Email me at yoohooman480@optonline.net

If you're talking about the compartments underneath the seats, it's possible. I remember on one of my older posts that a guy told me he did his like that. If you're talking about the compartments on the side panels, no way.
Keep in mind that those compartments are pretty small and if you do set them up right, they're not going to produce a lot of bass. I also don't see how you'd be able to use the seats since they'd be sitting right on the subs. I have a single 10 in a small box behind the drivers seat in my truck. I took the seat out and sat the box in it's place. I'm not really losing anything that way because I'm a tall guy and nobody could fit in that spot anyway. Just something to consider.

actually you can fit 5 1/4" speakers in those side compartments. I was just trying to figure out how to support the speakers so people won't break them when they sit down.

My buddy put a sub or a couple subs in those compartments. I think they were 8's or 6's. Either way it didn't too impressive. He had a 94 extracab. In my 96 excab, I have a 10" bazooka tube that I think sounds great. I don't go for super loud, just super clean. I also have four polk 6.5's(6.75 in the rear) and an amp (hidden in the jumpseat compartment) that drives my bazooka. The bazooka fits perfectly behind the seat, and I can recline it all the way back. I'm 6'3" and have plenty of room.
