substitute for amsoil filter oil???????

Sup fellas,

I just got my amsoil airfilter today......but my oil did not come in!!!! so I called them and they said I have to wait 3 WEEKS for it to come in ....I was wondering if I can use the filter oil I use on my dirtbike filter for now, till the amsoil filter oil comes in.

What do you fellas recomend I do? Wait for the proper oil comes in, Or chance'um and use another foam filter oil that I use on my dirtbike air filter?

Last I checked, the oil filter comes already oiled.
You should be good to just drop it straight in.

...actually, you might want to even get rid of some of the excess before you do so!

Do I???
Ha! That's so funny - I'm so new at this you wouldn't believe!!!

I took my filter straight out of the bag and plopped it into the intake. When I took it out for my first cleaning the bottom was covered in oil. I'd suggest that you lay some paper towels out, put the filter on it, put some more paper towels on top, get a plank of wood or something similar, and kneel on it to get the excess oil out.

I thought I heard somewhere something about the excess oil setting off some CELs.

(By the way, I got all this off of Bob's write-up for cleaning the air filter http://www.4runners.org)
