O.k...now...I've always delt with either 31x10.5x15's or 33x12.5.15's....what are the 30x9.5x15's equivilant to? 265/75/15's? Cause if I buy this Taco I wanna put some nice meats on especially since winter is here. But staying within accordance of Maine law I found out I am legal to go one size above stock without questions. Stock size is I believe 225/either 65 or 75/15's. Comments?

 

A 30x9.5x15 is 245/75/15.

That "one size above stock" statement is ambiguous as hell. What do they consider one size? If stock is 225/75-15 (28.3"), then would 235/75-15 (28.9") be "one size" larger? How about 225/75-16 (29.3")? Would 235/65-16 (28.0") be considered the same size or different? What happens when you cross from one measuring method to another? A 225/75-15 tire is equivalent to 28/8.5-15. One size up fromt that would be 29/9.5-15 in that measuring system. This equates to 245/75-15 which is two sizes larger in the metric measurement system. Sounds very confusing to me. Personally, I'd hope that what happened here in Colorado happens soon in Maine. In Colorado, there is a rule on the books that states "you cannot modify the original suspension from the original design". If you read down further, you find that it has since been ruled unconstitutional since it so ambiguous and cannot be enforced. Cross your fingers.
