Question Stupid Question

I am doing a custom cat back system on my 02 taco and the stock muffler is round. My stupid question is this, does it matter if the new muffler is not the same shape. I am far from being a mechanic so just thought I would ask.

Thanks,
Greg

Thanks

For now I am going to get a dynomax superflow 2.5" and am having the piping fabed up at work out of 2.5" stainless. It may take a while because we are pretty busy right now but in the end all it will cost me for the system is $42.09 which is the muffler cost and handling charge from summit racing. I am also going to add a high flow cat but they are pretty spendy so it will have to wait.

The flatter, oval style of the Dynomax should also give ya some added ground clearance. That's kool you can make your own custom pipes at work. I have a detail/touch up biz...my only benefit is a clean Runner.
