strut replacement

hi everyone i have a quick question, i got new struts for the front of my 95 and i was wondering i remembered when we put new struts on my fathers 96 there was a sticker on the strut that said to put the weight of the truck back on the strut before you tighten the lower bolt on the strut i was wondering if they still recommended to do this now or not thanks for your help

Any benefit to it would be that it makes the weight of the vehicle "settle" the strut into a final "resting" position. So just put the nut and bolt in finger tight (or even just a bit snug) before dropping it down.
