Stock axle gears?

OK so I have an 89 4runner SR5 v6. I have no idea what its gear ratio is. The front has a yellow paint code, the back has a pink. I've heard that v6's with 31s stock should have the 4.56 (yellow) not 4.10 (pink) I don't know if the 31s are stock though. I also don't have an ID plate with the axle code. The vehicle had been smashed up before I bought it and I think it lost it in the body work. I tried doing the old wheel spin and count the drive shaft revs, but something gets lost in the spiders. I'd rather not take it apart to find out. Any thoughts?

in the drivers door jam will tell yhou stock tire size, you can count it the old fashioned way with the chalk marks on the wheel and driveshaft......but theres a decoder for the underhood plate on 4x4wire. It will tell you the stock gear ratio....but, if it's been changed you'll have to count it.
