stereo wiring issues

Hey everyone, I just bought a 4runner that had a disgusting interior and had tons of random wiring throughout for subs. Yesterday I tore out all of the extra wiring, and decided to take out the carpets and pressure wash them.

After I took out the wiring, I reinstalled a factory radio that I had laying around, tested it and everything worked. Then I removed the carpets, pressure washed them, and reassembled the interior after they dried.

I go to take it for a drive last night and there is no power to the stereo when I try turning it on. I've removed everything and found that there is no power to the red wire.

When I tried reinstalling it, I hooked up only the amp and bolted it in, then while moving the wire around that plugs into the back of the factory radio I was getting static noise from the speakers even though the keys were not in the ignition. I plugged in the harness from the amp to the stereo and got nothing.

I attempted this a few more times, got the static again, then had the antenna go up when I plugged the amp harness into the stereo, got excited and tried to turn on the stereo and got nothing.

I'm stumped and have been searching threads all morning but cant figure out what the problem is. All fuses are good...

Red face

And the red wire is??

In moving your carpets did you pull the ground wire loose??

If this radio has been sitting perhaps the plug in the radio is corroded

I thought the red wire on the harness was power.. it turns out my wiring was good. The factory radio crapped out somehow overnight? I swapped in another one from a different truck and everything worked fine.
