#$%$ steering control arm
Over the past week I have completely gutted my frontend and put it back together . I removed my differential and replaced all of the seals, put my bilsteins on, put new rotors, calipers, and brake pads on, replaced my lower ball joint, and now I have a problem. I cannot get the steering control arm on my drivers side off. I got the locking nut loose, but can't twist off the arm. I have tried using the wrench, a pipe wrench, I tried to use an air hammer to loosen it up, used penetrating oil, and I just can't get it off. The reason I am replacing it is because the boot over the joint is torn. I have a brand new one ready to go on, but this is really stumping me. I think that I could get it loose with a torch, but I dont want to have to take the big boot off. You have to cut the inner clamp. Any ideas before I have to take anymore things apart????
