Spotlights

Hey guys, hope everybody had a great christmas!

I sure did, man o man, I got a good 500 bucks in cash some clothes for school, buncha DVD's and so on. In the "so on" category there was also something that I had been wanting for a long time, a Vector 1,000,000 candle power portable spotlight. This thing rocks! You can go to www.vectormfg.com and see their line of stuff, but man this thing is nice.

Anyway, my purpose in posting was to ask first if anybody has any experience with these lights and two, if you do, or you have one, whats the best way to store one of these in your Runner. My dad, who likes the spotlight more than I do would love to keep the spotlight in his truck, so I told him that I would do some research and see if I could find one better suited to me. Well, I go to my girlfriends house and there sitting on their dining room table is a Brinkmann 3,000,000 candle power Max Million III spotlight that her dad had gotten.

My main question is, what is the best/strongest spotlight out there? I would like one with a plastic hard case or something to help store it but if not, thats alright.

If you guys have any ideas or comments about the Vector spotlights feel free to post!

Happy Holidays!

Yeah, some of my buddies on the search & rescue team here have those...and BOY are they are bright. But for me, I don't need one for seeing 10 miles, just about 2-3 would be fine for me. Here in about 6 months I'm gonna be starting my training for the search & rescue team so a spotlight would be a good thing to have, the one I have now is fine but later down the road something brighter would be nice. Like I said, one with a case or a bag or something would be nice that way it doesn't just have to sit on the floorboard in the back.

I'd look into the Lightforce Enforcer. I've been thinking about getting one myself.
It comes with a sweet case.

It doesn't say how many candlepower that is, its got a 30W bulb in it which doesn't sound like it'd be very bright but maybe its a special kind of bulb. I do like that case though, wish the one I have came with that!

Scofco, did you look at some of the prices on those stinkin lights?? One of em was over $2K!! That is just plain insane!

It's lookin like in order to get a good spotlight with the kinda case I want it's gonna take a little more money than I was lookin to spend...guess I'll have to live with the spotlight sittin on my rear seat for a while.

Yeah, I found a nice one for $6k.

A really cool one with a backpack and he was holding it like a shotgun for $4500. That's worth it for the coolness factor alone
