Speakers and amp in rear side panels

I'm wanting to build my woofers and two amps into the rear side areas in the next few days, so I can regain all of the cargo space.

Has anyone seen this done on a 2nd Gen? I've seen it done on a 1st gen.

Any suggetions would be welcome.

TIA,
Rob

Haven't seen it

I haven't seen it, but I will be doing that myself. My plan is to make a sub enclosure on the driver side (not protruding) using the existing cubby opening for the sub. I plan to cut out the rear floor and make a tub/tray from steel and weld it in and sink all of the electronics into the floor under some 1/2 or 3/4" plexi. There is enough room as is, but barely. I'll probably going to get a Roger Brown 1" body lift for some more breathing room for the amps and a set of 33's.

Some guy put his amps & subs in an enclosure attached to the ceiling. Very clean and had all his cargo room.
