Spark Plugs

I feel really stupid for asking this but if you buy spark plugs though the toyota dealer do they come pre gapped or does the gap need to be adjusted?

Most plugs come pre-gapped, but I always check them.

They are pre-gapped. That's why they come with the cardboard over the ends, so the gap doesn't get tweaked. I double check them anyway, as well.

I should've checked it sooner but the dork at the counter gave me the spark plugs for the 4 cylinder 4runner and not the v6.

Sparkplug replacement will wait for another time.

As stated above, get the Denso Iridiums. Fantastic plug and no gapping required.

I also got Denso Iridiums the gap was out of spec...even with Iridiums i would still check. 50K on them so far.

Was looking at replacing the plugs today but I'm a little confused on what hoses need to be moved to access the wire/plug on the drivers side near the firewall.

Iridiums don't do jack. And if they're any more expensive than the stock plugs, you're just wasting $$$$. Stick with stock plugs. That's all you will need. And please don't give me crap about how they increase HP, burn better, last longer or other BS.

Wormhole, driver's side is a bit more tricky, since the space is tighter. But at the same time, it is really easy to do, unless you have giant banana hands. I usually take that bracket that is bolted on right by the spark plug holes (IIRC). Other than that, just start uncliping hoses as needed. Not too hard at all. If you are up in Utah, you can bring it by my house.
