Spark Plug Gap??

Ive changed spark plugs before, but I have never worried about the gap before. I read in this forum to check it out...

My findings are: the .044 model I bought (NGK BKR5EKB-11 stock #3967) are actually gapped at .025. I have no idea how to adjust these since they are dual tip and cant really pry into it. Like I said, Ive never gapped before, so I dont want to break something. Any ideas?

.043 is what I read to get for my 2000 3.4 V6 4Runner.... He looked it up on the computer (as did I on advanceautoparts.com and got this model).

Well, I just read online about the electrode being "U" shaped. I'm using the wrong type measurement tool. FYI for anyone that runs into this in the future.

I believe it's called a "wire type" gap tool.

This is from a VW forum, but I believe the basic info is the same.
