i saw this spare tire carrier on a roof of a pathfinder, it was a well built piece that mounted right on the railings of the roof rack. anyone know what brands make these kind of carriers for the 4runners?

 

if you get any aftermarket rack they'll have attachments for wheels up there.

i.e. wilderness racks, surco etc etc

I myself have a yakima rack on top to hold stuff but I haven't gotten the wheel rack for the top yet... hopefully soon

 

Keep in mind that this raises your center of gravity. From what I see you don't have your rig lifted, so unless you are going to be in plenty of of camber situations, then that would look good.

I was going to do this before I got my lift, but after reading some articles on roll overs I decided to pass. I still love the look of a spare on the roof rack with some nice bright lights up there.
