Question Spacers and extended studs????

Hey folks,

I've ordered the Tundra TRD 4WD Coils and struts, and am now finding out that there are Spacers and extended studs needed to install them and give me the lift I want????

Here is a list of parts I found on Bamachem's thread which many people have agreed upon. Including Steve from SS....

Front:

For 2.5" to match OME 890/891/892

Two sets of AE Spacers and one set of extended studs: $80 shipped
One set of Tundra TRD 4WD Coils: about $200 shipped (NEW)
One set of OME N91s Struts: about $220 shipped (NEW)
Re-use OEM top plate and rubber washer.

Do I need these spacers? Can I use my Toytec Spacer? How about the studs from the spacer lift?? My Toytec spacer as a small ring that came with it.....can I use that one?

You can use either the one spec'd or any other one. ToyTec sells two different top out spacers. This one needs and comes with the studs http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=72 and will give you ~3/4" of lift.

This one uses the stock studs and will give ~1/2" of lift. I would use some loctite with these because their will be very little stud coming thru the nuts.

Question

I think the one you posted with the studs, I ended up getting with my spacer kit, as my spacer kit came with extended studs......I'm thinking of using it in the install of my Tundra Coils and Struts.

What do you think?

That is the same top out spacer. It is just part of the internal spacer kit. It should work fine.

I'm guessing that you have the 3" spacer lift http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=72 ? The difference between this and the 2.5" is the top out spacer. You can sell the inner spacer.

Yeah, I was thinking of selling the inner spacer. I'm not sure how much interrest there is locally, not many modded 4Runners around here. Most guys around here have Jeeps, Chevy's or Fords, oh....and the occasional Dodge.
