My upper radiator has a hole where the hose slides on the radiator. Ive seen people soldering the wholes shut before and some body I know wants to do it to mine. What I m wondering is if anybody has ever did this to a toy. Mines a 3.0. If any body knows a different way , I would like to know it. I just hope I don't have to buy a new radiator because of a few pinholes.

Mine had the same type of pin holes that you have on the top of the radiator. I soldiered mine up and it doesnt leak at all now. If not anything it is prolonging the inevitable saves me $200 for a while longer. Mine has held up good too still strong after 5K miles. Drain the rad a little then sand the spot. Then rub some FLUX on it and heat it with a torch (propane or mapp gas and then just tap the soldier on. Very simple so if he wants to charge you dont let him charge much. Just the normal stuff that plumbers soldier water pipes with.

 

I tried a salvage yard radiator for $80 it went bad right after I put it in due to a crack along the top of it. I bit the bullet and bought the $250 brand new one it only cost me $165 due to a discount I had at that store.

mine did that and i tried getting it professionally soldered at a radiator shop twice, but it was so weak new holes just poped up. so i bought a brand new radiator of ebay from a dealer. it was way cheaper than any shop i called. think i only payed $120 shipped. installation was a piece of cake. and it has worked perfect for me. definately check ebay. they sell tons of radiators.

 

TRY it and if it doesnt work check ebay like carose725 said.
