Yeah still paying Daddy back for mine, yeah I'm that kid.
No I worked my ass off for this car, I drove a '92 Toyota Previa (yes, its a minivan) before the runner. Been working as a bus boy at outback steakhouse to pay this thing off. slowly but surely!

Was paying pops back for mine. but he went ahead and gave me the title during a rare fit of generosity. By the time I get back to La. he will probably have sold his pet '95 ES300 and gotten a SC400 (mmmmm) This past November he got a little standard cab Sonoma V6 with stepside and the ZQ8 package... I think he may finally be going through that mid-life crisis thing.
Now I'm fighting the urge to use the 'coma as a DP on ScionbX

Paid my 4Runner off in 1998 (got it mid 1995). It was nice not having a payment. Now I have a payment on the POS JGC. I need to dump that thing and get a FJZ80 for the family... It will save me money short term and long, I'm sure.

I had to pay mine off before I moved up north.
It is such a great feeling not to have a payment.
I will be buying another one in the spring for cash too!!!
Anyone have any pointers for getting them at auction? Any good/bad stories?
So far eBay looks like the most promising place.

Also and I'm not kidding. You should very seriously look at the Jeep Rubicon TJ. Make sure you get the option with BOTH tops, the soft top and the hard top. That thing is ready to roll right out of the box. Add a minor lift, 33's and 2 inexpensive Warn rock crawler bumpers and you have a beast. 2 Dana 44's, Factory Air lockers, Side protection. Be sure to get a good warranty.
A bouble cab Tacoma with an e-locker and a set of Franks would be pretty nice too.

Was paid for, collateralized it to pay off c.c. debt, will be debt free except for that, and will hammer a 48 month note out in 24 months since I'll be travelling, not driving the truck! Nice to eliminate the c.c. debt, they suck, will never use them again.
