I wouldn't trust it that much but it's probably correct. Call the dealer - they can verify it for you - although it took me 3 different dealers to find one willing to take the time. You can also jack up 1 rear tire, mark the tire and the driveshaft - turn the tire 2 full revolitions at the same time count the revoltuions of the drive shaft - just a hair past 4 revs of the driveshaft = 4.10 a little more than 4 1/2 turns is probably 4.30 (which most autos have - not mine unfortunately)

Saletel I did the same thing last weekend. Went to Brian's web page to look up G254. His site indiated it was for a 4.56. I swear my detriot locker and gears are 4.10 back there. But, also remember giving the VIN to parts place so maybe they got it right. It would be really stupid / wierd to have 4.10 in the back and 4.56 in the front. I haven't had a problem so I assume all is well. But, having 4.56 gears make sense for my 3vze. Cause at 70 mph the engine is about 3,000 rpm with 31x10.5 15 inch rims.

You got it. Actually, most autos came with 4.10, it was the locked 4runners you could get in 4.30
