Another newbie here.
Just traded my '00 Wrangler Sport in for an '02 4cy man. trans, extra cab Tacoma.
I'd like to convert it to a TRD level over a period of time, and plan to start with new shocks. I travel in rough country occasionally, and did last weekend. That trip showed me the need for firmer shocks.
I'd probably be happy with the shocks installed on the TRDs.
My question is; can I save money buying them from a source other than the local Toyota Parts Dep't?
If so, could someone point me toward a seller?

Ton of great Toyota people on this board: Strap22, Evan at Northridge Toyota, and also a favorite is 1sttoyotaparts.com. All three are actual dealers so no worries. We're lucky to get a great deal off OEM parts from them.

 

Or you could just get some Bilstiens, thats basically what the TRD shocks are.
