I checked the code and its the damn TPS sensor. I had to replace one on my 2nd gen, are these just a "plug and play" or do you need to adjust them. Anything special I need to know about these TPS sensors in the 3rd gen?????

Or could it throw the code and stil be somthing else?!?

 

which code came up? I had several issues with my 03 double cab's TPS sensor come to find that you have to replace the whole throttle body - but that's because its the throttle by wire type and toyota dosent sell the TPS by themselves. I dont know if the TPS on the 98's are avaialble by themselves.

 

i also got a TPS code. mine was P0120. its been comin on n off intermittently...i finally went to get the code pulled. i havent noticed any poor performance with my 3.4L...so im not too worried about it. but i was told that the TPS sensor had to be replaced...then calibrated. not sure if it requires SST's or not to calibrate.

im gonna go check my manuals n see what the deal is.
