On my 85 the front seatbelts will retract when pulled and let go but they never seem to get tight, it's on both sides so i am wondering if I just can't pull the belt fast enough to make it catch or do both have problems.

 

they are broken... there is a way to fix it.... hold on i will find the link

Thanks for the link, they do retract most of the time but I will give this a try. I still don't know if this is going to fix the belts though, they never seem to latch(grab) if violently pulled on either side.
