Ok here is one that I haven't really tried to ascertain on my own yet ,hehe, thats why we have this site! I was wondering what year 4runner seats would be interchangable with my gen 3 98'. Yeah I know, I can see this coming ... "98's will fit" Seriously though, up to what year should it be a direct replacement? 1999, 2000, 2001? I know that most interior parts should be the same between 3rd gens, but I need to look at replacing my tired worn drivers seat, its cloth and if I happened to find some leather seats to replace mine, well it would be nice to be fore armed with the information. It can be amazing what you find in bone yards. Thanks guys

 

'96-'98 the interior was the same. In '99 I know the interior changed, although I don't know what changed.

96-02 will all bolt in, the wring for the power seats is not in the none power equiped trucks so you have to wire that yourself.

 

I think the overhead console, stereo surround, cupholder area and rear cargo panel on passenger side changed and maybe the cargo cover.
