scraping on drivers front end

I recently bought a 98' 4runner sr5 with 115k miles on it for $8k. Interior is immaculate, engine runs like a champ, but being a used vehicle theres a couple of minor problems.
The only problem im having trouble with is a scraping inside my front drivers side wheel well. ive pulled the tired and i havent found anything out of the ordinary, any ideas?
thanks a lot,
brent

Is is 4WD? Could be a bad CV joint. A better explanation would be helpful. Like when does it scrape, under what driving conditions, etc.

Sorry, i was in a hurry. it is not 4wd, it has automatic transmission, it only happens when im making a left turn, and at any speeds.

I've had the dust shield behind the caliper rub, making turns may flex things just enough to make contact. Just crawl underneath and pull back on them a bit. Drive slowly around a parking lot and have a friend walk beside the vehicle. Or, jack the front wheels off the ground, turn the steering wheel hard left and spin the wheel by hand and see where the noise is coming from.
