Yes. All my Hiluxes (except for the two 2WD's) had leaf springs. After some 7 years of faithfull duty with my last Hilux and a newborn son I needed more comfort and a 4 seater. I did a lot of wheelin and my back started killing me. 10 years of motorcross did't do me any good also. My joints start to squeek.
And I wanted something different. Sets you apart from the crowd.
And I had three of these front axles in my shed. For free.

I have an electric disconnect in the rear and hope to make on for up front. Not that its really needed. I still have enough droop with the swaybar to extend the shocks to the max. And thats 6 inches at least, works for me.
As soon as I have some money to spend, the first things to go are those weeny 31 A/T's. And the rims.
And yes, the front driveshaft is missing. If you look close to one of the pics you can see a large dent in my sump. My front diff fits in there exactly, if you know what I mean. The high pinion diff is in fact too high for me. Or maybe I need more lift. I still need to rotate the axlehousing or remount my carrierarms, so the flange of the diff will point down about 1.5-2 inches. That will align up my driveshaft properly up to the flange of the gearbox. As soon as that is done, I can measure the exact lenght of my front prop shaft. It now is like 4-6 inches too short.
