S/C for '03 4Runner...
#22
I had a squeak coming from both rear seats. The squeak was specifically coming from the latch mechanism that secures the seat in an upright position. Although the latch mechanism looks like it was designed with some sounds absorbing materials and little metal to metal contact, there was enough to cause a squeak when jostled on rough roads.
I fixed it by wrapping the metal catch loop with plastic tape to prevent the metal to metal contact. I may have to repeat this at some point as I expect the tape to wear through eventually, even though I don't fold the rear seats down very often.

I could have swore I read somewhere that it said specificly that TRD would NOT make a s/c for the Celica as the VVT engine is at it's limit, I remember that specificly, I could be wrong...can you point me to the website, that would be some interesting reading? Thanks

It is a much harder problem, apparently, for the 2ZZ engine with VVTL-i, and the corresponding higher compression.
Rumors regarding the Matrix supercharger is coming about *only* because Pontiac pushed the issue for the Vibe.
