RR diff light on cluster

2000 sr5. I do not have a switch for RR diff lock anywhere on dash. After changing cluster lights to LED, I know have a RR diff light staying on. I've tried engaging and disengaging 4wd to see if this helps but no success.
. From what I've read it seems that all 4wds came with a universal cluster but not with rear diff lock. Is it possible that the light bulb was intentionally installed backwards as not to light up from the manufacturer? I've only had the truck a few months and have had no driving issues like I would assume would happen if the rear diff was locked. I average 50 mph on back roads to work everyday.

Yeah, so didn't think to look for an actuator on my diff. There is no actuator on the rear differential so I that would suggest I just have a useless light on my instrument cluster.

Yes it’s useless, I have an automatic temp light in my cluster but it’s a manual, they made them for all
options. If your light is getting a little current it will light up being LED, I would just remove the bulb if that’s the case.

No probs

If you are ever interested in adding there are a bunch of threads on it, although the rear locker is very hard to find from what I’ve gathered over the years on the forums….if you ever come across one for a decent price do it also some threads on adding an aftermarket locker and getting a RR diff lock switch and integrating it to keep the factory look
