How much did you find the front bracket lift for, and how was the install... pretty bolt on for the most part?

Looks good man, obviously in your future some bigger tires will make it a better fit but it still looks good with the 285's.

I already had the BL on, so I just kept it... as mentioned before, I currently dont have the $$$ to get bigger tires....maybe someday.

I picked up the front lift for 150.00 (it was used). So I couldnt pass that up. The install was pretty much bolt on, with the exception of cutting the factory crossmember to install the ProComp brackets. Unfortunately I dont have a write up as my buddy did the install (I wasnt there to take pics, etc)... I know that sucks. I wish I was able to do a complete write up but it just didnt work out.

Anyways, I pick it up on Wednesday... I'll have some more pics in a day or so. Thanks for the compliments.

I could probably do a full writeup on it,I have a few pictures from when I did it.

It was a pain in the ass to tell you the truth. I'm sure a seasoned mechanic could have done it in a day, but, it took me and my buddy 2 days to finish it.

These are now screaming with the LC Coils...need to get something longer to reduce the pressure off of the nuts. I feel if I had alot of rear flex while wheeling, I would end up snapping these.

Looks good, 35s will look great on there when you get the $$$ save up!

Just wondering, can you tell if you actually gained or lost any ground clearance? With the drop bracket hanging down so far it looks like clearance was lost from the stock IFS setup with a spacer lift. I'm sure your CVs are looking better now, but that drop bracket lift just looks really vulnerable to trail obstacles.

yeah, there are advantages and disadvantages to it. I would def invest in the budbuilt or downy (cant remmeber who makes it) skid plate made for the 4" lift. I saw one for sale recently, ill have to find it again.

ROOFGOOF, as long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters.

Personally I like it. Don't think I'd ever go that tall, but lifted 3rd Gens always have a place in my heart.

I agree guys... the lift needs a skid plate. Apparently the ProComp lift was supposed to have one with it, but I bought it used and it was most likely lost in the mix at some point.
I am going to fab one or have my buddy fab up a skid plate for the front. I would think the kit does make it lose alittle on the clearance, but I dont think it was much if any. What makes it stand out is not having the factory skid plate there anymore.



It looks so big compared to the factory JEEP.

I am running without the front swaybar right now... it still needs an alignment but so far I have driven it about a mile or so and noticed the front feels pretty good...not stiff. The rear LC Coils/Shock combo seems alittle stiff, nothing really bad though. Once I get the alignment I will be able to see how it feels on the highway.

Measurements from the ground to the fender flare is about 43 inches in the back and 42 1/2 in the front.

For the rear sway bar, either disconnect it for the time being and see how you like it, or make some brackets which drop down to accommodate the extra height.

I have been running w/o sway bars for almost a year now w/o any problems. I am in the process of getting my front one put back on though. I am having a friend fab up some stronger brackets for the sway bar.

Its as vulnerable as any rig w/o a skidplate. Ground clearance with a spacer lift and 35's is the best, but, running 35's and no spacer lift is only 1-2" lost in clearance, so its not much of a big deal.

Yes, Budbuilt makes skids for these lifts.

Thanks bro.. I was doing some minor flexing in my yard and noticed the rear links are pretty tight... I think eventually I will fab up the drop brackets for the front sway bar, but we'll see how loose it is after the alignment.

Thanks for the compliments... I just got the front end aligned yesterday and I must say it handles great! The steering wheel is alittle stiffer than it was before, but no shakes, no wobbles, or vibrations and it stays straight! The front is slightly soft and feels pretty stable. The rear is still a bit stiff, but nothing too bad.

I just cleaned it up tonight and installed a CB, so I'll take a few more pics.
