Roof Rack

This might seem like a dumb question but is there a difference in the roof racks on a base, SR5 and limited. The reason I ask is I am buying a roof basket a S4560 Safari Rack and when I put in the year and model it fits for a base and limited not the SR5 there can't be different racks for all 3 models this is a 1997

Thanks Peter

All the parts from all three lines are the same and interchangable. I added an extra roof cross bar so I have four vice three. I have also added a Rage Safari Rack, direct bolt on to the stock front and rear main cross members, was even stopped the other day by a guy driving a 3rd gen wanting to know where I got mine.

You want these:

http://www.yakima.com/shop/factorycr...l-mightymounts

I know Thule and some other folks make the same thing.....

edit: oh, you still need bolts and nuts. Can't remember if bolts came with my Surco or not but they're a standard item. You just get 1/4 inch carriage bolts about 2" long or so. The carriage bolts slide into the Surco support tracks and the square part keeps them from spinning. Then down through the MightyMounts to a washer and a nut. These big Yak wingnuts are really handy for bolting your rack to the mighty mounts and eliminate the need for a washer. You can get them plenty tight by hand:

They have locking ones too if you want/need them.

Anybody want to chime in on the weight capacity of the stock crossbars? If you want to carry heavy loads it might be a good idea to get Yak or Thule crossbars. But then of course you're talking $$$$

Ritzy - you're running FOUR factory bars?? That should hold it.....
