Reset ECU ABS Light?

I changed my spark plugs and wanted the runner to relearn the timeing. I took the cables off of what I thought was the ECU under the passengerside door kick panel and thought that might reset it. After taking those off I started the car and now my ABS light stays on. Anyone know why? Or how do I really reset my ECU in my 2000 4Runner.

Thanks guys

The box in the kick panel is your ABS computer, not the engine's ECU. The engine ECU is located above and behind the glove box on your truck. To reset the Engine's ECU, simply pull the small, yellow 20 amp fuse located in the black fuse box behind the battery in the engine compartment. Leave it out for about 15 min to completely reset it.

You might want to check with the dealer about your ABS system. I do not know what might have happened when you pulled the harness from it...

Hope this helps.

Well I figured I might as well try to drive the damn thing. Turns out first time I actually stopped the car, the light went off. It hasn't come back on so it leads me to believe that thats normal. It must come on until it can fully test the system by braking and then it goes off. So its fine now thanks for the recommendation though.
