Question reprograming my alarm ?'s

Ok here's my problem. Back in December I had to buy a new battery. When I switched them out, my alarm (viper/dei) completely shut off. My dad and I were able to get it working again.

About 3 weeks ago my alternator belt broke and I didnt' know so all of my components got reset and along with that the alarm went too. We did everything we did last time to reset my alarm (got an info sheet off the web) but nothing's working. It has to do with the valet switch and pressing it a number of times and things like that, but nothing works. Any tips?

WHat is the status of your LED on the dash? If it is solid red then it is in valet mode currently. If it is flashing then the alarm is functional and waiting a transmitter. To check to see if it is still working you can simply open a door, turn your ignition on, then off. Next press and hold the valet button, you should hear a chirp about 5-10 sec's after you begin holding it, if you do then the alarm just needs a transmitter programmed. If it does not chirp you probably have a blown fuse somewhere..most likely at the red wire at the alarm, or possibly a bad ground.

Good luck!

That's the thing. The LED won't work at all, so I don't know if the systems messed up or if it's just being stubborn. The fuse is fine, but NOTHINGS WORKING!!!
