Replacing steering spindle bushings

Replacing steering spindle bushings
I have a clicking/rattling type noise that sounds like it comes from the front drivers side wheel. I suspect it might be the steering spindle bushings.
Has anyone replaced these? Are they different on trucks newer than 89?
