Remove wind deflector bumpers

I have an '02 4Runner with the Toyota hood wind deflector.

My question is, how do I remove the bumpers off of the hood without damaging the paint?

Thanks

Unless they superglued them on, you should be able to just pop them off. However, i would use a heat gun and get it nice and warm (note NOT BURNING HOT) and they will peel off easier.

As mentioned, give them a little warmth (I just used a hairdryer on low setting), and be careful as you dont know how exactly they were put on.
I remove mined as well, however since I do put the deflector back on when doing long road trips I just glued the bumpers to the deflector instead.

Pulling bumpers off

I pulled the bumpers off, but they left the adhesive pad on the hood. So now I need to figure out how to get that off. Is a heat gun what is recommended?

A heat gun (on low) or a hair drier may help, 3M Adhesive Remover could also get the job done.
