I have a set of "Pioneer Gear" off a USMC HUMMV! It has a rack with a axe,shovel and sapde all secured to the rack. The entire unit attaches/detaches and has a handle so you can carry everything! Dont know if you can get it surplus, but its VERY handy

I picked up the shovel today from an Army Surplus store. Only $16. Its one of those tri-Fold kind with its own carry case.

I think i might have to get me that gerber shovel and axe. I have few of there knives and their manufacturing building is just down the road from me and they sharpen my knives for free! gerber is a really great company, highly recomended!

AKA, E-Tool (entrenching tool). You can dig a nice hole with it for 2 people to sleep in ............trust me itll help your rig get unstuck!
