Recovery gear

Recovery gear
what do you guys think about this in case you get stuck in snow, ice, sand, or anything I guess???
This looks good if the surface you got stuck in was flat. I am thinking if your tires got buried, this would be useless.
Are there other alternatives that you know of??
When I get my 4runner, I am going to buy some recovery gear: recovery strap, warn shackle etc. I saw the thread with the recovery gear list, but I did not see anything like this in people's list.

thank you,

hhahah,
the only snow in Irvine is from people who forget to use their head & shoulders. When I get my Runner, I plan to snow boarding as well as off roading in snow.

I'd say some wood from home depot will be cheaper
Just get some 4x4's and you should be fine.
Make sure you have a good shovel.. A must have tool when you go out in the backcountry.
As for snow.... you mean that white stuff we actually have on our local mountains for once? shoot..... I just went there on sunday to play and look what I missed out on.... dang it! only wished the rain came a few days earlier!!!
