I am in the process of redoing my front axle on my 82. I thought I would share the stuff I am putting into it.



cleaned and painted my knuckles



Longfeilds to put in



Redoing the front brakes with vented rotors, IFS calipers, FJ80 master cylinder, new hardlines to the calipers, extended brakelines
Also bought some wheel spacers.

The differentials are both getting 5.29's and lockers installed.
It has taken me a while to finish this up since I am finally getting my front diff back from the shop that is setting them up.
I'll try and get some pics of putting the axle together today.

 

I actually didn't have the patience or time to take alot of pictures. I did take a few pics toward the end.

Painted the outer ring of the hub gun metal

what style long's are those?

 

They are stock cryo treated birfs.
I have a extra set of spares I am sending in to be treated as well.
