Rear Shock Travel.

I was curious so I measured the OME n86 rear shocks since I can't install them in the pouring rain. When compressed, they are 14" from bushing to bushing and 22" when extended. Does anybody know off hand what the compression/extension measurements are on the factory rear shocks? I'd go pull one of mine but it's a tad wet outside.

When I swapped my stockies in the rear for OME's compressed they looked fairly close, extended the stockies were 21inches from eye to top of shock.

21" to the top of the threads or to where the bushing seats on top? I thought the OME were supposed to be longer to get better wheel travel.

Nope, just the top of the shock not including the threads and bushings. I thought so too but I took off my 906 springs and put LC coils in and I had major extension and flex. On Toytec's web site the state that they are long travel shocks??

The OME N86's that I have are advertised as extended length but measure 21" to the top of the shock body from the center of the eye at full extension. Same as the factory shocks according to your measurements... what the heck?

That's exactly what I was sayin...but I've never truly flexed the stockies either. The OME's are definatley an awesome ride IMO!
These are with the N86's and LC coils
