im looking for a decent 1rst gen 4runner that i can build up. Everything has rust on the rear wheel wells that needs extensive work. are there aftermarket fenders out there that can cover up to where the wheel well flares out from the rear quarter?

 

you can get replacement fenders in metal or fibreglass, each has their merits. a bit of work no matter which option you choose. the back ones are more a headache than the fronts as the fronts can be unbolted and tossed. prime, paint and rebolt the new ones on and youre good to go.
