rear diff fill bolt size?

hey my axle seals are leaking and i need to add some more oil soon before i get them replaced and dont have the wrench to get the fill bolt off, biggest ive tried are 3/4" and 19mm but both are way to small, and my crescent wrench just wont adjust to the right size. so which size should i pick up?

Also how difficult is replacing the seals? Im only 17 but consider myself very handy just inexperienced compared to all you vets, should i attempt it or take her to the dealership?

Thanks in advance,
Spencer

It's a 24mm or 23mm I believe. Two nights ago I spent all night in the shop taking out the third member to replace my seal. It was a lot more of a job then I thought it would be.

From: Lake Arrowhead CA,
Here is one to look at it if you do it yourself you can buy a locker for what someone charge you.

Replacing the inner seals on the rear axle is a piece of cake.

-get new rear seals from the dealer
-drain the diff fluid
-disconnect the ebrake cable
-disconnect the brake lines
-unbolt the 4 bolts on the backing plate
-pull the whole drum assy/axle out
-pull the old seal out (I find it easier with a seal puller)
-install new seals (pound in easier if you keep the new seals in the freezer
overnight)
-put everything back together, fill up the diff and bleed the brakes

When you are putting the axles back in, be careful not to rest the axle shaft on the new seal or it could damage it, and you will be back in the same boat. If you have oil all over the rear drums, you may want to pull the drum off and clean the rear brakes.
