Tell me about it Poboy. Everybody overhere with a KIA or Hyundai thinks he owns the best 4WD money can buy. If they leave the terrain (if they are still able) its littered with plastic parts. Chrome, plastic and mud combined with water is a definete nono for todays newer 4WD's or SUV.
If you don't have a capabel machine; go home. Or better: stay home.
I allways end up towing and winching the idiots free who have overrated their vehicle and themselves. Like a few years back. Some nutcase decided to cross a pond which I just turned back from to with my 33's and 6 inches of lift. He (used to) own a Suzuki. To make a long story short: he had to DIVE to hook up my wichcable to his hitch. The hole was twice as deep as his Suzuki's antenna. He drove in blind because he just followed my tracks!

Good luck with your new project. If you ever need a diesel or diesel parts... I have plenty.

k - but that still doesn't prove anything. I think your mileage has far more to do with the seals blowing than synthetic gear oil. Too many folks running their trucks on synthetic w/out problems. I think the problem is a more likely a design flaw w/ the axles.

There was a poll many moons ago and those in the 60-90k range seemed to fall victim if I remember correctly.

I think it was just bad timing in your case. But I understand why you would feel otherwise. To each his own.
