Very good news! Man, I felt your pain on this one; but still easy for us to sit back and watch all the while. I'm going to check out the Poly stuff as I've already bent my stock junk once. I'm in no need of extra adventure.

How did that brake line work out? Hopefully UPS didn't bend the piss out of the thing.

The brake line was pretty much a perfect fit. I to bend it a tiny bit, but, that was expected.

Ya, I am super stoked to have it back. I just wish I had the money to do some repairs on it that I have been putting off for too long.

Glad it all worked out. I've been in Baja on my motorcycle and had troubles. I usually carry the kitchen sink on bike trips but I broke the one thing I didn't bring. People were amazing and helped me out in the middle of the night to get me back on the road. They also refused payment for the help. Baja is a great place with great people.

That is awesome to hear your truck was untouched. Some parts of the US your truck would have been gone when you got around the corner..
Deathcougar is the man for parts...

I bought 3 quarts of Castrol Hypoid Gear Oil, 80W-90, (API GL-5 SAE)

Here's a good writeup on changing all your gear oils:

you may want to bump that up to a 75w140 weight in synthetic.. it doesnt shear as bad, more stable in hot weather and lubricates better than the thin 90 wts.. ALOT of people recommend when offroading or towing to bump up in weight.. esp for you since you live in a hot climate.. thicker is better in your case i promise. i actually did the research on it.. go figure :-)

btw i know how to change diffy gear oil lol..
