It looks like it worked but the last few seconds of the video looks like the bead unseated again.
Pretty cool though.

If you don't put air in right away the bead will usually pop back off. I always set my tires this way and it work great. I usually barely screw the stem in and then light it. Once it pops on I pull the stem and the air starts sucking in.

What is your favorite choice of flammable liquid in a can? Will it not work just leaving the valve stem out?

I use starting fluid and I have tried leaving the stem out, but I think it relieves too much pressure and the bead doesn't set.

I was at the OSU game this year, but I don't think I will be traveling down there for the game this year. Hope to see you again at the Jambo.

sounds like a usual night in central oregon. we burn couches chairs cars tons of tires, hell come to think of it we hardly burn any wood
