radio interference after plugs and wire change? Any ideas?

Last night I replaced the plugs and wires in my Tacoma with NGK IX iridium 5464 plugs and NGK 4412 wires. This morning I notice some static noise through my radio that I know has never been there. Im assuming the NGK's are resistor plugs, Im using the same plugs and wires in my Rav4 and MX5 with no issue like this! The truck is running like a top, it starts much easier sounds smoother. Any ideas? I’m going out now to make sure nothing is loose.

NGK resistor spark plug wire sets utilize a construction method known as "variable pitch" wire winding to create resistance to radio frequency interference.

They're resistor plugs, and wires. But that's not what matters as far as radio interference. That's all about the design of the wires, suppression vs. non-suppression. Suppression refers to RFI/EMI shielding. Shielded wires obviously produce a lot less radio RFI/EMI.

Since those are suppression wires they shouldn't be causing any significant RFI. So I can't answer your question unfortunately. Perhaps it's a fair trade if it's running much smoother now...

It should be the question asked when you register.. If you dont know what it means, you have to come back when you do, not till then will you get granted access to the site! Thanks for the reply, Im going to check and make sure I didnt rip a cable pushing them into the many cable holders! I cant explain it, its rather bizzare that it just started happening! I did have to remove the ground cables from the drivers side intake to get one plug out but they are tight... Thats what I get for working on my truck on Halloween... damn poltergeists

Why?

Because Toyoda, as in the founder of the company, is 10 strokes. 8 is a "lucky" number, 10 isn't. Hence the name change.
