R+P interchangeable between models?
Can you put mini pickup (86-95) ring and pinions on a 3rd gen 4runner?

yes if it does not have an e-locker
if they are not "V6" gears you will have to shim the pinion around .180" deeper than normal

I was told that on the 3rd. gen 4runner the 7.5 front ring is different than the 86-95 minis because of its position. (the teeth face the opposite side). Makes sense to me. Any info on this?

yes the front on the 3rd gens are a high pinion design to clear the steering rack, i was just referring to the rear
