Got a buddy with a 2002 4runner... Starts perfect, idles fine, but when he puts it in drive, it stalls every time. Neutral is fine, park is fine, drive... not so good... any ideas quick so he can get down to school! (3.4, auto, 4x4)

 

Anyone got any ideas at all?

 

its gonna sound stupid, but it worked for my 87 runner with the auto, adjust the cable that runs up to the throttle body, the factory service manual should have that info. That along with an out of range tps made my runner die every time it went into gear. Adjusting the cable made a world of difference.
