Quick battery question.....

If my battery doesnt have a date anywhere on it, does that mean its the original? I have a 1999 truck, so I'm guessing it is....but wanna be sure before I consider buying a new one. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Is there anything wrong with it battery? Why you want to buy a new one if you are not running whole lot of electronic gagets?

Cause the engine is cranking longer than normal and sometimes chokes...I realize this could be due to something other than the battery but I figure its a good place to start. I had the fuel filter and spark plugs changed a month ago so those are ruled out. Plus, if it is the original, then it's probably due for a change seeing how it'd be close to 5 years old now.
