Here's the set up as i see it on craigslist:
99 4runner , 128,000 miles , 4wd,
Of course i think creampuff and race over at 8pm.
I start looking it over and warning bells start going off.
No brake pedal rubber, rubbed through fabric on the seats,
Engine is a ball of grease with leaking oil all over.
Replaced rack, upper balls, lower control arms, rear axle seals leaking hard.
I look at the mechanical odometer and see 128,000
How does a 99 have a mechanical odometer?
My 99 is digital.
Of course.....i left after shaking all the fleas off and later thought to myself......someone disconnected the speedo for many years on that vehicle. It sold quickly....but to another sucker.

 

Just be glad you had the smarts to listen to the something is wrong here warning .

Not finding out after the fact once you got it home and the new vehicle Lust wore off..

Sad fact is some poor person no doubt thinks they made a super deal!!!
