question about sunroofs

Do 4Runners ever have suroof problems like leaking from hard off roading with the stress the body takes?
I've seen this problem with some sports cars that are autocrossed or just driven really hard.

A sunroof is the one thing I wish my Runner had.

For what it is worth - I've never had any problems with a toyota sunroof and I don't know anybody who ever has. They seem pretty reliable.

No problems here... It has been the best sun roof I have ever had.

I've had sunroofs on both my '91 SR5 4Runner and my '98 SR5 4Runner, and never had a problem.
There have been a few posts on the forum of people noticing water collecting in their floorboards, which is solved by having the dealer blow out the sunroof drain tract, but i have never personally had a problem.

You may try a search and see what you come up with. (try 'wet floorboards', 'sunroof drain', 'sunroof leak', etc...)

on my 96 the sunroof does not work. The previous owner left the sunroof open during a rain storm one or twice.

The motor and switchs all work, but it seems that the tracks are stuck. I took the assembly out, but it was a real chore to take the tracks apart. I decided to douse it with PB Blaster and see if that loosened it up, it did not. I know of one other member on here with a similar problem, jacksonpt I think.

I still have yet to get it loosened up.

After being in Seattle for a couple of years, I can vouch for the design of Toy's sunroofs, no leaks here!
