Question about a starting problem. Battery?

The last two days when I went to start my Runner I turn the key and nothing at all happens. I try it one or two more times and it will start like normal. Any ideas what could cause this?

* In the last couple days I have had to jump start another car.
* My battery terminals are clean and the cables are tight.
* The battery is probably 3-4 years old.

Thanks!

Do a search for “starter contacts”. A lot of info here about that.
If you are going to change them yourself it will be $5.00 for parts.

The same happened to my 4 runner 3 yrs ago. When I would start my rig in the morning nothing would happen. I would wait a few min and try it again. Took it to a trusted mechanic and turn out the starter contacts had to be replaced. 220.00 to change those out. And this wasn't a stealership either. Knowing what I now know, I will do it myslf next time.

No clicks...just silence. I guess I'll need to research a starter contact replacement... Thanks for the tips! I'll also check the wire to the starter...
