Question about Maintenance Light

I got my oil changed at about 3850 miles, now I have about 5150 and i just noticed when i start up my truck the MAINT light goes on and off about 3 or 4 times, maybe 3 times after the last light in the instrument panel goes off (which i think is the airbag light). I read in the manual that this means change the oil. Now does it mean that for me? Or would it come on solid if it meant that? Since I just got my oil changed I dont know why it is comin on. Then again, i never really noticed if it has always done that on startup. Anyone else see this? Thanks for the help

I'd say the people who changed your oil didn't reset the maint light. I got my oil changed at the dealer and they didn't reset it either. You can reset it yourself but now you are about 2000 miles off... The reset instructions are in the manual somewhere.

Is this some way for dealers to deny warranty coverage?
