question????

Hey guys,
I am new here, but I know everything about Toyota's that there are to know. How many of yall are jealous of me now?? Hahaha, jk guys. I know my fair share and am willing to help whoever needs some help with their truck or 4Runner. I currently own a 1991 xtra-cab 4x4 pickup that came with a 3.0 V6 that just simply didn't have enough power for me and was always giving me fits, thanks to a teenager that I bought it from and ragged the hell out of it. But, hey I am the dumb teenager that bought it from him. Hahaha. So anyways, I am swapping in a 3.4 V6 from a 98 Tacoma 4x4. I will be using my R150 tranny and stock transfer case. I plan on going with either 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body and eventually when DOWNEY comes out with their coilover conversion kit for the 86-95 trucks and 4runners and 35x17.50 M/T Baja Belteds on some 15x12's. Along with the a TRD rearend and some kind of limited slip up front. I will be running either 5.29's or 5.71 gears. And if I don't go with the body lift and the 4 inch suspension and the coilovers, I will be running the new Whiplash 10 inch kit that they are coming out with sometime in the near future. With that kit I will more than likely be running 39x18.50 M/T Baja Belteds on some 15x12's. If you all are wondering, I like my tires wide, hehehe. I am also starting up my own internet company, mainly 4x4 stuff for now, so you guys can hit me up for aftermarket stuff when I get up and running. BTW, I would be more than happy to take some of yall's money and send you something very special in return like a lift of gears or something of that nature. I know this was long, but if you come to this board, you obviously do a lot of reading and must like it also. I have a lot of stuff for sale, so you can hit me up on that too. No website is set up just yet, but I will give yall the link when it is. Thanks for readin, oh yeah, and where are all the trucks, this looks like just a 4Runner forum to me?? Nothin wrong with that at all, but it says it's a truck forum too. Later guys, Wesley

Welcome aboard. We have alot of fun here. People are always looking for things to buy, so you will do ok. It seems as if you sell the "mechanical" kind of stuff. A good place to get other cool stuff is from Burtman Industries. Jason owns a 4Runner and is a member here. He has some cool stuff. I think that you will fit in just fine here and will have alot of fun like we all do! Enjoy! :fireman:

With all that money you're pouring into the suspension lift, why not just swap in a solid axle. If you do it right, it'll cost about the same.

You'll likely be snapping CVs left and right with those big tires, big engine, and the LSD. Throw in a D44 and run the Rubicon in your sleep.

Hey BTOWN,
yeah I do have a bunch of mechanical stuff to sale. Yeah I talk to Jason on AIM every now and then. He is a good guy, and has a nice website. Thanks for being so friendly, on some of the other forums that I have been to for the first time, they weren't as nice, but they opened up over time. THanks again, Wesley

Hey man,
well I have thought about a SAS, but really and truely, this truck will be for nothing but pure show. I have had my fun in the mud and at the river. I have been thru 2 transmissions and a rearend, and countless other mechanical parts, such as altenators and starters. And this will pretty much be a weekend truck that I will be riding around in just to keep it in good condition as far as like keeping everything lubed up. This truck was my first truck, and I plan on keeping it for a very long long time. BTW, this question isn't only for you but for others that will be looking at this post. I am going to be polishing my intake manifold and painting my valve covers. Now, my truck is black, but I don't think I am going to be keeping it black. And I already have some red stuff to set off the black. However, like I said, if I am not keeping it black, then red might not look good with another color. What do you think a good color combo would be for say the pumpkin's and the oil pan, and valve covers? Thanks, Wesley
