program new security system remote
I lost the remote for my 91 4runner with Toyota security system. I have the orignal manual that gives directions for programming a new remote by pressing buttons on the security system main unit. The problem is that the instructions say the main unit is under the driver's seat and it is not there! I have looked under side panels and under the dash, but so far haven't found it. Anyone know where it is? I hate pulling things apart if I don't need to.

91 toyota security alarm system
This appears to be a Toyota manufacturer installed security system. The valet switch and red alarm light are in the lower left dash front and the remote had the Toyota logo on it. It was probably an option over remote locks. Thanks for your interest
